Business as usual for Comedy Club then. Did they even put on a revue this year?

Nope. In the end, only one person from M&M showed up, so they didn't even do a performance at the Madcaps. I'm hoping it's just the new people finding their feet and restructuring before they open a can of comedy whoopass on the Uni next year.

i turned up to a Comedy Club meeting this year and felt discouraged to re-turn up because it felt like a whole lot of people trying to cancel out each other with their funnyness. For example, when discussing the comedy revue for this year (which i pressume didnt go ahead) they were more excited acting out one liner jokes than writing new material.

To be fair, that's how the majority of successful Comedy Club sketches happen. But I can see your point.

There seems to have been a bit of disorganisation in the club of late. I don't even know who the president is, because they've left me off the mailing list (again), even though I'm nominally a member of the club.

Yes 'tis PJ.

i had a chat with her the other day about what Comedy Club's been up to and the lack of their presence this year mainly came down to not being able to get enough ideas or helpers together to form a review and finding a slot in which to perform. They considered doing something after madcaps, but everyone's been too busy. I was pleased to see they had new performers this year and i hope they can retain them for next year.
